Have you ever forgot your password to your online bank account? Then you used the wrong password too many times so they put a freeze on your account and you could no longer have any access into your account. You knew they were trying to protect you from fraud and identity theft, but you just want what is yours. You just want to have access to your account, but you have to wait until morning or even for the weekend to be over. It is very frustrating.
A password is a secret word or phrase that must be used to gain admission to something.
Sometimes I feel like I forgot the password to my life.
I can’t gain access to my own brain fully to live my life. I can’t gain access to live my life the way I want to. I lost my way. I became undone. I can’t get back into myself. Gone. I’m blocked out of my life for a moment of time. Frozen within and without. Invisible bars keep me inside myself unable to become free of the pain and loneliness that live inside me. I can’t function. I don’t have access to the best me or even part of me. I forgot the password to unlock happiness, success, mental wellness, peace, joy and living.
My identity was stolen. I lost my own identity. It vanished into thin air.
Finally, I am able to gain access back into my own life by resetting the password for my life. I have had to reset the password for my life many times.
These are passwords I have used to help me reset my life:
hope
faith
love
forgiveness
perspective
perseverance
resiliency
mychildren
writing
prayer
Jesus
and God
What are some passwords you used to reset your life?
The blogger from 140 Character Christian. wrote, “Faithfulfriends is the password I have often used to unlock my life. A handful of close friends have walked with and prayed for me through years of trauma.”
I thought that was so beautifully written I wanted to share it. I cannot add it to my own list as I unfortunately do not have many friends due to the isolation that sometimes occurs from living with a mental illness for as long as I have. It is a goal, a hope and a prayer to make new friends. People need people.
Please check out his blog. I started following his blog and am excited to read his many brilliantly written posts. It is an awesome blog.
I added the word perspective to my list after Cindy from Chronic Pain With a Higher Perspective said perspective was a password she used to reset her life. Thank you Cindy for your feedback. If you have not checked out her blog, please do so. It is also an awesome one.
Perspective is the capacity to view things in their true relations or relative importance. This is also imperative to recovery, survival, being mentally well and living a good life.
Let’s all keep things in perspective. Keep keeping on and living your best life.
May today and tomorrow be your best days, each one better than the next.
Much love and hugs, Sue

The biggest password I use right now in my battle with cancer is hope. Without hope I would give up completely

I am so sorry you are battling cancer. I cannot imagine how difficult that is. I agree that hope is the most important thing we must have in life under any circumstances. Without the hope there is nothing I think. Most results of suicide are from not having any more hope of something better or brighter tomorrow or somewhere on the horizon. I will say a prayer for you and keep you in my prayers. Keep fighting and keep having hope. When there is hope there is life. Much love and hugs, Sue
