God Made Me This Way on Purpose

“Why do you fight to fit in when you were created to stand out?” ~Dr. Seuss

We were created by God just the way we are — on purpose.

Designed by God for the good of our works.  God has a plan and a purpose for our lives. Find your purpose and make your purpose meaningful to others.

Purposeful living begins when you find Jesus.  Know and love Jesus. Love and treat others just as Jesus would.

It is easier for others to see the impact God can have in your life when you have a visible physical impairment. However, it is equally, if not more important, to tell and show others how God can and will positively change your life when your illness and/or impairment is invisible to the rest of world.

Just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Just because you don’t understand something, doesn’t mean it isn’t so. Just because you don’t believe something, doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

“I believe in the sun even when it is not shining. I believe in love even when I cannot feel it. I believe in God even when He is silent.” ~unknown

(found written on a cellar wall in Cologne, Germany during the Holocaust)

When you have a mental illness or other invisible illnesses, your testimony is is not seen or easily understood. Explain how God changed your life. Strive to tell your story more fully and completely. Just make sure you tell your story.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. ~Maya Angelou

Use your story to move people. Give people hope and encouragement by sharing your story. Figure out how you are uniquely made and use your differences to change the world.
