This video and song will make you smile.
The words are very uplifting, inspirational, powerful and beautiful.
This song and these lyrics are my new anthem.
When I am down on myself I need to sing this song and these words over and over and over and over and over…
I love this beautiful song. My new anthem for my life. I hope you like it too.
Here are some of my favorite lyrics from the song. I must remember these words…
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me
Look out ’cause here I come
And I’m marching on to the beat I drum
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
Another round of bullets hits my skin
Well, fire away ’cause today, I won’t let the shame sink in
We are bursting through the barricades and
Reaching for the sun (we are warriors)
Yeah, that’s what we’ve become
I won’t let them break me down to dust
I know that there’s a place for us
For we are glorious
’cause there’s nothing I’m not worthy of
This is brave, this is proof
This is who I’m meant to be, this is me
Please watch and listen…
“This is Me” song from the movie “The Greatest Showman” sung by Keala Settle and ensemble (with lyrics)
If you didn’t get a chance to see this performance last night at the Oscars, and even if you did watch it, I think you might want to listen to this one again.
I am just sayin’ it is pretty amazing! So beautiful, uplifting, inspiring and I love the power of the words and the music…
“This is me” sung by Keala Settle at the Oscars last night (March 4, 2018)
Hide away, they say
‘Cause we don’t want your broken parts
I’ve learned to be ashamed of all my scars
Run away, they say
No one’ll love you as you are
I know that there’s a place for us
For we are glorious
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me
And I’m marching on to the beat I drum
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
Well, fire away ’cause today, I won’t let the shame sink in
We are bursting through the barricades and
Reaching for the sun (we are warriors)
Yeah, that’s what we’ve become (yeah, that’s what we’ve become)
I know that there’s a place for us
For we are glorious
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me
Look out ’cause here I come
And I’m marching on to the beat I drum
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
This is me
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) ’cause there’s nothing I’m not worthy of
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh)
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
This is brave, this is proof
This is who I’m meant to be, this is me
And I’m marching on to the beat I drum (marching on, marching, marching on)
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I’m gonna send a flood
Gonna drown them out
Oh
This is me
Beautiful & Powerful lyrics. I can see why this has become your anthem. Good for you. As long as it keeps you going and making you feel better, go with it.

Reblogged this on Beckie's Mental Mess and commented:
Original post by Sue at “My Loud Bipolar Whispers” Amazing lyrics and Sue’s new anthem, and I can see why. I hope you love it as much as she does, as well as me too. 🙂

That song is beautiful and that singer is absolutely amazing. So much talent. I love to witness that kind of talent. I am so impressed and in awe of that. Great idea. Let’s do that. Let’s all sing our way to great mental health. I can’t sing well, but I can make a joyful noise to great mental health. I sure hope so. I will keep singing and listening to music more often. Hugs again, Sue

Yeah. Karaoke is fun but I still don’t sing well at that. I love to sing I just do not do it well. God forgot to give me that talent, but I sing loudly when I am alone… hahaha…

It may be that you just don’t know what key you should be singing in,but that is a whole other lesson! Just sing and have fun, like nobody’s watching as they say.

I just read or read again and was reminded – I should say, that you are a talented singer and can play guitar. That is awesome. I love music but like I said just cannot sing. I know my severe limitations in this area and it is okay. I will continue to make joyful noises and sing at the octave I can and hope the notes don’t get too high. Hugs, Sue

I once thought about having a karaoke night just for people who think they can’t sing.
