Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!
You registered on WordPress.com one year ago.
Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging.
Thank you Word Press, love Sue
One year ago today I started my blog and began this beautiful blogging journey and experience.
Actually it was on September 27, 2016 that I posted my very first words on my new blog with my first post titled “More About the Author… and My Life Before and After My Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis” and my second post titled “Why my Bipolar Disorder Blog?”
I wrote three posts at the end of September 2016. My first two posts were actually kind of introductions to who I was and why I wanted to write a blog.
I wrote my first real blog post on September 28, 2016 and it was titled “Loud Bipolar Whispers in The Sounds of Silence.”
Please take a peek at my first posts if you would like.
I am very happy I started blogging. It has been quite a journey of learning about myself and more about mental illness through my own journey of writing and research and reading many other excellent blogs.
I know I have come a long way and learned a lot since I first started my blog. I have improved my writing and blogging skills, computer knowledge and became a bit more tech-savvy in the process. I pray I will continue to become a better writer and blogger and mental illness advocate with each new day.
One thing I do bring to the table (my blog), is that I write openly and honestly with deep emotion and expression about my story, journey, life, thoughts, struggles, obstacles, deep darkness, sorrow, survival, God, faith and hope.
I have learned during my writing and blogging journey to be myself completely and wholeheartedly, always writing from my heart and soul. Plus, it helps that I do have quite a story and testimony to share that I pray helps others in many ways.
I write openly and honestly, expressing and sharing my innermost private and sometimes deepest darkest moments in my life, expressing my thoughts with as much detail and honesty as I can to help others learn what it is like to live with and inside a bipolar brain and sometimes a severely suicidal brain. This is the gift I have to share with you. I pray it helps many.even
I have also learned and gained so many valuable lessons and truths and experiences about life, living, survival, faith and mental illness and other struggles from reading other people’s blogs. What a gift and blessing this blogging world and community truly is. I thank everyone from the very bottom of my heart and soul for sharing your beautiful thoughts, stories, experiences, wisdom, insights and your blogs with me and the world. I have been truly privileged to read so many wonderful and inspiring and beautiful blogs.
I believe blogging has saved my life, during some of my darkest hours. Blogging was the only thing that I could still do when I could barely move or get out of bed and suicidal thoughts flooded and overcrowded my mind. Blogging saved me at times by distracting me from my inner demons and blogging became the only way I could express my pain and get it out of me, which is very important and beneficial for my mental health and overall well-being.
Writing and blogging has become very therapeutic for me.
I want to thank everyone who has been with me on my blogging journey and is still following me.
I want to thank everyone one who has read my posts. I want to thank everyone that is following my blog just recently or days or months ago. I love you for reading my thoughts and words and I pray I have and can help, encourage, educate and inspire you in some and/or many ways.
I pray it helps you to know you are never alone during your own unique and beautiful journey of life.
We are all living life together and we all must unite together as one and love each other and help each other in every way we can.
I look forward to my 2nd “Happy Anniversary” with the blogging community at Word Press.
Hugs and love, Sue
