The older I become,
the faster time
seems to travel,
increasing my age,
and slowing me down
until I become slower,
unable to catch
the speed of time,
as it quickly elapses
through my finger tips,
and the days
and years
of my life.
My age is slowing down
the zip in my skip,
the flip of my hip,
the dip in my chip
and the whip of my anything,
There is only one thing
my increasing age
seems to be speeding up,
and that is
the speed of
time.

Maybe the “whip of my lip?” I know getting older for me involves a slower quip than I used to have…(hey “quip” works too!) Good post, young lady!
