I had eggs and carrots for breakfast this morning.
I do have to admit that it is a strange combination,
but I feel pretty proud of myself for eating such healthy foods,
like eggs and carrots for breakfast the day after Easter.
These are my favorite kind of eggs and carrots,
so soft, brightly colored, sparkly, sweet and delicious.
I ate the last of the carrots, but I will most likely eat more eggs today and even some bunnies and ducks as well.
Well okay,
I must say
these are not healthy at all,
but are very yummy,
in my tummy.
I make frosted roll-out cookies,
with a lot of brightly colored butter cream frosting,
and colored sugars sprinkled all over the tops of them.
Yesterday I had more delicious food,
and all my children over
to celebrate the Easter Holiday.
My children and son-in-law and soon to be daughter-in-law are 25, 24, 23, 22 and 16,
and the Easter bunny still comes to our house
and hides many Easter eggs filled with candy
and leaves Easter baskets, as well.
When it was time for the big Easter egg hunt
to find as many Easter eggs as they can,
hidden throughout my house,
they were very excited and ready to go
to see who could find the most.
One, two, three… go!
Off they went
with a jolt,
and a bolt,
in five different directions
running a 50 yard dash,
throughout my house,
scrambling here and there
to find plastic candy filled Easter eggs,
with as much excitement, joy and fun
as five young children on Easter morning.
With my great delight and surprise…
they didn’t revolt,
but made a jolt
and then a bolt,
scrambling quickly all around
for there was candy to be found.
I felt so much love, joy and fun,
wish the day was never done.
Another cherished blessed day
with happy memories to stay!
Now I am hungry and need to go put something in my tummy,
like a frosted roll-out cookie egg, duck and bunny. Oh so yummy!
Simply beautiful and love the quote from Dr. Seuss
