I am Beyond Excessively Pleased (Daily Word Prompt is Pleased)

I am very pleased. I am excessively pleased.

Actually, I am beyond excessively pleased, which means I have no words to express how happy and proud I am of my youngest daughter Alexia.

She did something over the weekend that still makes my heart sing with Godly praise and joy and continues to create little happy tears of joy to well up inside my eyes where God’s love usually forms and pours out of me from His deep love and spirit living inside of me.

Even though I have bipolar disorder, I always knew I was blessed and had a lot more than many other people.

So, I helped people as often as I could. God always put it in my heart to love and to help people. If God whispers in your ear, you must listen and follow His whispers and orders. So I had to.

When I saw people on the road holding signs asking for money for gas or food or other various things I stopped and gave them what little cash I had. I felt I needed to do this.

I have been homeless and I know how awful that feels. I also know how this kind of lifestyle can happen to anyone. It happened to me and I am a good person who has a mental illness.

As I have heard many people say they don’t want to give people money because they are just going to spend the money on cigarettes or alcohol or drugs. Well, I do not care what they spend their money on.

If they are addicted to smoking, they need a cigarette. If they are addicted to alcohol or drugs, they have a substance abuse disease and they need alcohol or drugs to survive at that moment.

Substance abuse is listed in the DSM-V manual of psychiatric disorders as a mental illness.

Those people need our help. Many people need our help. We must love and help all people. We must do what Jesus would do.

Plus, I feel there could be nothing worse or feel more shameful then having to stand outside with a sign begging for money. I don’t care what they use the money for. They need the money.

I do not have to stand on the side of a road holding up a sign begging for money, so I have more than they do.

I need to give of my heart and love to help people in any way I can. For years I did this not knowing that my children where actually paying attention.

When my oldest daughter Kylie became old enough, I noticed that she started helping people by giving them money when they needed help. I was beyond proud of her. My heart still feels that love and joy from when she did this.

Now back to the main topic of my story.

Last weekend, as my daughter Alexia and I were making a right turn after shopping there was a family standing in a parking lot near a very old camper. This lovely couple had two adorable young children and were holding a sign saying they needed money for gas.

Alexia paid more attention to them than I had at that moment. I saw them as I passed them but knew I didn’t have any cash on me to give them at the time.

Alexia said we should help them and I told her I didn’t have any cash on me, only my debit card and that I was sorry.

They had really touched her heart. As I continued to drive further away from them she kept telling me we had to help them. She said we could take their gas container and go buy them some gas.

She said we just had to help them. They must have really touched her heart and God was speaking to her and through her.

I finally listened to her and God must have spoken and touched my heart as well.

I knew she was right. I was so happy and proud and beyond pleased as this was the first time my daughter Alexia ever did this on her own.

We needed to help them, so after driving about a mile away from them I turned my car around knowing we had more than they did and we needed to help them.

We drove into the parking lot where their camper was and talked to them. They were actually from Greece and spoke very broken and limited English, but I understood enough to understand that the father was looking for work but could not get a job as he couldn’t speak English well enough. They were traveling back to Arizona where they had family.

We filled up their gas container and bought the two kid’s happy meals and got the parents meals as well and brought their gifts back to them.

They were very pleased and happy and kept saying “God bless you” to us.

The best and most rewarding part was seeing the delight on the children’s faces as they got their happy meals with chocolate milk and toys. They quickly went inside their camper to eat their meals. My daughter and I were so happy to see how happy we made the children. It was so beautiful to see their happiness.

There is no better joy then helping others.

I was am so happy, proud and beyond pleased to know that my daughter Alexia paid attention to me with my words I spoke about why I help people and paid attention to my actions, as well.

My daughter Alexia was much better, smarter, kinder and and more compassionate than I was that day because she would not let me drive away. We had to help this family. She insisted and knew we should and needed to.

What a proud Mommy I am that my three children were paying attention to my example and my giving and loving nature. Praise God for giving my children loving hearts.

Sometimes I believe and know that my living and surviving with bipolar has taught my children to love and help those less fortunate and it has helped them to become loving, caring and compassionate beautiful young people.

Thank you God for helping me to be a kind, caring, compassionate and good example for my three children.

I am beyond excessively pleased, happy and proud of my three children..
